Art und Umfang der Leistung
BGR is carrying out a geophysical research cruise including a 2D seismic survey with the German research vessel RV MARIA S. MERIAN in the waters NE of Iceland (Iceland Plateau & Iceland-Faroe Ridge). This research cruise MSM143 with the project acronym NINA is aiming to record a seismic image of the crustal composition in order to map the distribution of continental fragments.
The survey starts on May 14th 2026 in Reykjavik, Iceland, and will end on June 18th 2026 in Reykjavik. During the survey, seismic reflection and refraction profiles will be acquired for a period of approximately 16 days using one 6 km long seismic streamer and several ocean bottom seismometers.
The reflection seismic source array is a tuned G-gun array, consisting of 16 G-guns (SERCEL blue pulse) arranged in two strings (port side and starboard), each string consisting of 4 clusters with a pair of 2 G-guns. The total volume are 3100 cuinch (51 l). The refraction seismic array volume applied on two lines is enhanced by additional 4 G-guns (4x 520 cuinch).

Payments are made by the Customer in the period of payment of 30 days in full or within the discount period with the quoted discount on receipt of invoice into the bank account stated in the invoice by the Contractor. The entry of order for remittance in the Clients’s financial institution is decisive for the punctual payment.

Unterlagen und Anforderungen zur Beurteilung der Eignung des Bieters und des Nichtvorliegens von Ausschlussgründen
1. Eigenerklärung zu den Ausschlussgründen
Der den Vergabeunterlagen beigefügte Vordruck "Eigenerklärung zu den
Ausschlussgründen" ist zu unterschreiben und dem Angebot beizufügen. Bei
Bietergemeinschaften, ist diese Erklärung von jedem Mitglied der Bietergemeinschaft
abzugeben.
2. Nachweis der Personalstärke und -qualifikationen
Der Bieter hat anzugeben, welche Fachkräfte im Zusammenhang mit der Leistungserbrin-
gung eingesetzt werden sollen, unabhängig davon, ob sie dem Unternehmen angehören
oder nicht.
The two marine mammal observers shall have at least the following qualifications and
experience:
- Certification as a marine mammal observer, e.g. from JNCC.
- Proven recent professional activity as a whale watcher through a list of at least 3 ref-
erence missions within the last 5 years.
3. Nachweis der technischen Ausrüstung
- The contractor is responsible for his professional equipment. For optical whale watch-
ing, this includes binoculars and documentation of sightings via a photo camera. The
acoustic whale watching consists of a PAM system (passive acoustic monitoring) op-
erated with appropriate software (e.g. Pamguard). The PAM system should be named
with its specifications (data sheet).
